Wunder Motors
Ten to twenty years old, built to run past 200,000 miles — and we write down what’s wrong with each one before you ask.
A look at the lot
A few of the cars on the lot right now. Push through the stack to see them, then open the full catalog for everything we have.
Four filters before a car gets on the lot
01Buy the platform, not the car
Chains over belts. Engines with a 250,000-mile record. Transmissions that get serviced instead of replaced.
02Records, or it does not come in
Stamps, receipts, and a history that adds up. A cheap car with no paperwork is somebody else’s problem.
03On the lift, underneath
Frame, subframe, bushings and every leak. California cars, so rust is rare — we still go looking for it.
04Then we write down what is wrong
Every fault we found goes on the listing next to what is good. You decide with the information we have.
A small lot in Irvine
We buy cars that were built to run a long time, sort out what needs sorting, and publish what is left. Then you decide with the same information we have.
There is no finance desk, no sales floor, and nobody working on commission. Cars are sold as-is, with the faults in writing. Before you buy, take it to your own mechanic — we would rather you did, and we will get it to your shop.
Before you ask
Do you offer financing?
No. There is no finance desk here and nobody on commission. Bring your own funding, or your bank’s, and the price is the price we talked about.
Can I take the car to my own mechanic?
Yes, and we would rather you did. Message us and we will get the car to your shop for a pre-purchase inspection before you commit to anything.
What does sold as-is mean here?
It means there is no warranty from us — and it is exactly why every fault we know about is written on the listing before you ask. Nothing is left for you to find in the first month.
Why only cars ten to twenty years old?
That is where the depreciation is already gone and the engineering is still simple to keep alive. A 2013 4Runner with 128,400 miles has more life left in it than plenty of three-year-old crossovers.
How do I hold a car?
Message us. We will hold it while you arrange to come and see it, so you are not competing with a phone queue.
